Access statement for Tyddyn-du Farm Holidays
Although not specially adapted, all our suites are ground floor with one step to enter and we have a ramp available, there are no steps once inside the suites / cottages listed below Please let us know prior to arrival if you require a ramp.
The old tourist board wheelchair access criteria is not currently in use by VisitWales ( Wales Tourist Board) but this old grading for wheelchair access did at least give you an idea of the suitability of the property for wheelchair users
" Wales Tourist Board Access grade 3 was awarded in three of the suites :
This means that these suites are suitable for a wheelchair user who has help with them, and is able to walk about 3 steps - in the following suites
Y Stabal ( suite no 2 ) Y Beudy (suite 3 ) The Long-barn (suite 4 )
· Car parking is directly outside each suite.
· Mobile phone reception on the property is very good for most networks
· The suites & bathrooms are very spacious and all have a cubicle shower & bath
· The farm lane is tarmac but not completely smooth everywhere at present
· Well lit suites with Dusk till dawn lighting outside all suites and the farm grounds
· Emergency information : Each suite has an information folder - should there be an emergency situation or a doctor be required, but , please also let us know, there is usually someone home on the farm most of the time and our mobile telephone numbers are in this information folder in each suite
· Smoke detectors , fire alarms and emergency lighting fitted in all suites
· All rooms have cordless kettles full size fridge and microwave .
· Remote control T.V.s with SKYsat digital& teletext DVD players with a small selection of DVDs
· Entrance to the dining room will allow for most wheelchairs but not the very wide ones and as its an old house this cannot be changed we do have a new dining room in the process of being converted which will rectify this problem.
· Assistance dogs are very welcome as are all well behaved dogs
· Our son & daughter in law & family live in the log cabin to the front of the farm if we are not in the farmhouse
